The El Paso Chamber is encouraging members to take a more active role in shaping public policy by joining its Government Relations Committee, a group focused on connecting the business community with key decision-makers across the region.
The committee provides Chamber members with a unique opportunity to stay informed about policy issues affecting the Borderplex region while engaging directly with elected officials and government leaders.
Recent meetings have featured discussions with several prominent leaders, including Renard Johnson, Ricardo Samaniego, Mary González, and Rudy Cruz Jr.. These sessions allow members to participate in candid conversations about policies, priorities, and initiatives impacting businesses throughout the region.
Through the committee, participants gain insight into local, county, and state-level policy developments while building relationships with policymakers responsible for shaping the economic future of the area.
Topics regularly discussed include regional collaboration, legislative updates, infrastructure priorities, economic development initiatives, and other issues important to the Borderplex business community.
The Chamber says the committee plays a critical role in ensuring that the business community remains a strong voice in the policymaking process.
